Since the new name works fine, I'm okay with it. Get enough people complaining like that, and a company's likely to make a change to avoid controversy. That's a hell of a connection to make, and assuming that the use of "Insanity" with Shadow Priests is somehow mocking people with mental illnesses (rather than just a reflection of the Cthulhu-esque concept of the Shadow Priest, with many people in the Cthulhu mythos stories going literally insane because of the things they witness) is quite a leap of logic. You might not see an issue with it (and I don't, even though I'm probably medically "insane" myself), but I remember seeing a comment a few days ago on a World of Warcraft blog article where a guy was saying he thinks WoW should remove the "Insanity" stuff from Shadow Priests because it's having fun at the expense of insane people and someone he knew had killed someone because they heard voices telling them to (apparently the person posted similar comments on other posts).

It likely is to avoid negative feedback from people as mental illness becomes a wider noticed issue (mainly because it's being over-diagnosed, but that's another issue), and some people might think they're having too much fun at the expense of people with mental illnesses.
